Busdriver in Oshkosh Tonight!

Yes, it's true.

Busdriver comes to Oshkosh for the very first time on his Supercare Tour with special guest Metasota! Local talent includes myself, Mozaic, and Veech, with DJ's RichardGriecoSuave and J.B. ILL! Show kicks off promptly at 9pm!

Andrew Linskens will be doing a live painting during RGS' opening set into mine and J.B.'s set. He came up with the idea from our set list for the night, so should be a pretty rad edition to the show! Hope to see y'all out!

Had a great little run joining my brother Coolzey for the Midwest leg of his Virgo It Alone Tour. Seriously awesome is all I can say about having him as a tour mate, thank you my man, be in touch and safe travels to you.

I'm going to keep this recap short as I had been documenting from the road. Check the feed below for that stuff. Basically I just wanted to say thanks to everyone on this run... 

Everyone we played with was great, it was nice to meet some of you for the first time, as it was nice to catch up with some of the homies again, thanks for taking your time to get down with us, lets build... Everyone that attended the shows, again, both familiar faces and friends as well as the grip of new friendships that were made, thank you. You don't understand how much it helps and to see you out there supporting music... Lastly, thanks to the venues, the familiar spots to the new, we thank you  for your time and effort. We understand this business can be tricky so thanks for taking a chance on us, it doesn't go unappreciated! I'm sure some of us will meet again.

Also: Thanks to mother nature and the road for letting us see all your sights, sounds, and landscapes, you da best.

Last two days of tour!

Monday we made way to Madsion to a familiar venue for me, The Wisco! Good to see the homies and Moodie Black! Tuesday we were at The Lift in Dubuque with the man himself, Count Bass D! Always a pleasure to see him and catch up! On to the next...

Tonight in Fayetteville, Arkansas! Playing at a retro arcade called Arcadia Retrocede with the homie LucioPro and of course my tour mate, Coolzey! Show kicks off at 9pm!

My last day of tour ends at The Skihaus in Carbondale, IL which I played last year on tour also. Great place and a great bunch of guys throwing shows there. See you in Illinois!

Next day we hit Des Moines for an early show and finally got to meet the homie Toby Diligent as well as some of Coolzey's old friends and family. Nice to finally get back to Chicago and rock with Void Pedal and others, as well as catching up with some old homies and new friends. Fairfield is a sweet little town in Iowa and the show was awesome.  I also heard David Lynch comes here sometimes, bonus awesome! SXSW: Our Journey has Come to an End...

Booooo.

I only say this because I wish it would last another week.

Well, SXSW was a success. We spent our last off day scoping out the beautiful city of Austin, checking out it's shops, taking in the sights, and going out to a bunch of music showcases. We kicked it off going to the Stones Throw 20th Anniversary Party. Homeboy Sandman was dope and we also got to see J-Rocc jam live with Karriem Riggins on the drums for a little bit. We then headed over to the Nerdcore Showcase to meet up with the homie Ecid. Shortly after that we took the long walk with Ecid and Ceschi to see Astronautalis rock a live set and kick it with some good peoples. It was one hell of a night and of course we waited until the last day to get turnt the **** up, which made for one hell of a 24 hour drive home to Wisconsin.

I just want to say thanks to my traveling mates J.B. ILL, RichardGriecoSuave, and Taiyamo Denku. I couldn't have asked for a better group of guys to take this trip with. Shout out to our Green Bay to Austin transplant Jesse for showing us around the city and giving us some itinerary to work with while there. We definitely ate some amazing food, met some really cool people, put some faces to names, got to rock with some great acts, not to mention seeing a ton of great music. Until the next time my friends, be well.

SXSW has been a blast so far. Checked out the Crushkill, Fake Four, and Oy Vey Showcases yesterday, which were all dope. Nice to see a bunch of homies and familiar faces in the crowds and on the stages.

Tonight we play at the Love Goat on Guadalupe St. for SXSHABBAT FEST presented by my old friend Kosha Dillz. Dope line up with great music all day! Come kick it!

I'm not Dead but I still don't Sleep.

Just hibernating a little bit.

Which in my case means writing a lot, putting the finishing touches on some projects, and booking shows for the New Year.

Yay!

Hope all is goodies with everyone reading this, let's touch base on some updates and such, cool? The 'Keep It Rural' project is finally done on my end and those involved. I probably should have put this out last year but DJ's are a tough nut to crack sometimes (with a smile). Next step is mixing and mastering which will be done by the homie Matthew Sawicki at Suburban Pro Studios in St. Louis, Mo. This will be Volume 1 (more to follow) of a series with DJ Pain 1 on the beats, an occasional guest producer from time to time. I've already begun writing and recording Volume 2, so keep your eyes peeled as a release date for the first will be announced soon!

As far as shows, I have a bunch of stuff lined up right now. Starting March 4th at Peabody's in Oshkosh. I always wanted to continue the "Get Up! Get Up! Get Outta Here, Hip Hop!" series and I think this is a great night and lineup to bring it back to life. Peep the flyer below.

Next up is March 11th at Reptile Palace in Oshkosh with IndyGround family Dom Chronicles and Scotty Wu. Might be some other talent on the bill but this is what's cracking right now. Come see some fresh Hip Hop from Kansas City yo!

SXSW...

The journey continues when myself, J.B. ILL, Taiyamo Denku, and RichardGriecoSuave make route to Austin, TX for SXSW. On the way down we have shows in Dubuque, IA (TBA) on March 15th and hopefully Iowa City, IA (TBA) on the 16th. We will be playing at the festival March 17th through the 20th (TBA), or something like that, let's see what happens, haha. I'm super excited to finally get down there for it, definitely waited way too long. Will post on this soon as everything rolls through. Come see me be me being me and dorking, in Texas.
